Frames Conservatories Direct Bury Sunday League, report for May 1st.
The league staged the Frames Conservatories Division Three KO Cup Final at Ram Meadow, Thurston were up against Real BSE, Real went in front early on and added a second before Thurston got on the score sheet, the score remained 2-1 until Thurston were reduced to ten men and Real scored two more goals to win the competition. The trophies were presented by myself and the man of the match awarded by Darren Stobbart went to Thurston defender Warren Harris who had an outstanding match under a lot of pressure from a liively Real attack.
Onto the league programme, in division The Bushell hosted Howards and moved to the top of the division, two points clear with a 5-2 victory. Eagle 90 are second with Elmswell who have two to play a further two points behind, Eagle and Bushell have one match remaining. Elmswell Taverners were due to host Tuddenham who forfeited the match. Rickinghall were the visitors to Moulton, the hosts won the points with a 8-2 victory.
In division two Kennett & Kentford hosted Cock Inn who came away with the points after scoring four without reply. Rougham Lions are now at the bottom on goal difference after there 9-2 home defeat by league runners up Stow Excelsior. Rattlesden were entertained by BS Celtic who went on a scoring spree with an 11-2 victory, on the score sheet for the hosts were W Proctor with 7, M Zedrenka, R Chappell and two for K Scott.
There were no games in division three and in division four Deers Leap travelled to play Abbotts 07 and came away with the points after a 5-1 victory. CFC Bury have won this division and Eastbury Eagles are runners up after there 4-2 victory at forth placed Barton Mills. And finally Norfolk Terriers hosted third placed Lakenheath Eagles who won the points following a 6-1 victory.
This weekend the league stages the Division One KO Cup final between Eagle 90 and Ixworth at Bury Town with a 2-30 kick off time and at Stowmarket Town The Bushell will contest the Suffolk County FA Sunday Cup Final with last seasons loosing finalists Ipswich Thistle, this match kicks off at 2-15.
